We will be reading 1 Corinthians 13 (click here for passage)
I strongly believe it is critical to learn to love. Not just others, but ourselves. I say this because if we love ourselves and are confident in ourselves, we will set an example for those around us. For if we believe in ourselves, others around will notice and want the same. I talked about something similar to this in my last post- kindness. (click here for post).
“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Love never ends.”
Sometimes, we overlook some messages “hidden” in scripture. In this passage, Paul was referring to love as a concrete noun. He was referring to love as, not just an emotion, but an action.
God is love, and if you would love, you must abide in Him and He in you. Love is the best of all, because it is eternal. All else will perish. When we are in touch with the reality of things, love will be all in all (just as Christ is “all in all”– Colossians 3:11).
Lets’s go deeper into the word “eternal”.
e·ter·nal
/əˈtərn(ə)l/
adjective1. perpetual (also used of past time, or past and future as well): – eternal, for ever, everlasting, world (began).
2. lasting or existing forever; without end or beginning.
Dictionary
This is truly a blessing. God has given us the gift of ETERNAL LOVE. We can love for eternity and receive love for eternity. God wants us to express love for others. He also wants us to love ourselves. Honestly, we don’t give ourselves enough credit! It’s okay to reward ourselves. Show yourself some love because you deserve it!

My translation (for the verses above): For now, we only see a reflection of ourself, but when we are renewed in Christ (see John 3- click here for chapter), we see face to face.
Bible Verse of the Week:
“Whoever gets sense loves his own soul; he who keeps understanding will discover good.” ⌁Proverbs 19:8

Madison, you wrote about Love so eloquently. It seems like yesterday when Will read those verses at your parents wedding. The word Love appears 551 times in the NIV edition of the Bible. It is the one command the Lord reminds us to do.
You did a great job of explaing the many facets of Love.❤️ Can’t wait for your next blog.
